Natural Kornerupines Overview
Kornerupine occurs in association with werdingite and grandidierite in a sillimanite-hercynite-rich band in a gneissic sequence at Bokseputs, Namaqualand.
It has also been reported from metamorphic rocks near Port Shepstone in KwaZulu-Natal and from the farm Cavan 508 MS in the Soutpansberg district, Northern Transvaal.
