- What is Custom Jewelry?
Custom jewelry is jewelry manufactured to meet specific design details and
requirements and is not mass-produced. We encourage active participation on
the part of our Customers in designing unique jewelry items, truly one-of-a-kind
pieces. For example, in designing a ring, the Customer selects the ring style
and design, the mounting style and design, and the accent stone(s) weight and quantity,
and (of course) the center stone from our extensive inventory. In the end, the Customer
will have a truly unique jewelry piece that will inevitably become a treasured family
heirloom, because the Customer actually participated in the design and creation of it.
- How Long Does the Process Take?
How long it takes to manufacture a jewelry item here depends a great deal on how
much customizing is required and how complicated the jewelry piece is. Some items,
such as custom designed necklaces, have taken us two months to complete. Typically,
most jewelry items are available and ready to ship within 10 to 21 days of design
approval, receipt of the gemstone(s) back and payment for our services.
- How is the Jewelry Paid For?
We have recently started to post renderings to the GemSuite.com website to
allow our Customers the opportunity to purchase their custom jewelry item on-line.
We can also process payment over the telephone, just like any gemstone(s) purchased
from us. Prior to the purchase of the jewelry item, the renderings will be complete
by us and approved by the Customer, and some preliminary work in preparation for
the casting/setting may be started. Finalizing and finishing of the jewelry and
setting of the gemstone(s) commences after the purchase has been made.
